Is there anyone else in this CB newsgroup disappointed with me? Have I not used the Amateur bands correctly in every aspect then been judged by something else I have done to cause disappointment. Did I forget that as an Amateur I have to appear squeaky clean and look down on the CB radio fraternity... whilst secretly up to allsorts? If I am a disappointment to you then I am afraid that's too bad. Until you can laugh at yourself and take criticism then you will have a miserable life. Both Hugh and Joanne made a quip which, while having truth behind it, was just a quip... much like the merriment of Amateurs mocking CB'ers in the Amateur newsgroup. You just take it with a pinch of salt. It was, at least for a short time, nice to know I was considered not a disappointment. ;o) 73' Graham |

If your interest was genuine, you would surely know what "26 division" is. My guess would be that you come here to boost your ego by trying to belittle people on the group. Is your life really that bad, do you feel of so little importance in your real life that you must beat a few people up to feel better about yourself? Rather like a school bully. Or are you like the Aldi shoppers who, before loading their shopping in the car, change the carrier bags the goods are in. Wouldn't do for the neighbours to know that they are Aldi shoppers. Does this not put you in the same class as those > > who you may or may not have shopped > > They would like to think so.....but there is NO comparison is there? Yes there is... You were a pirate, yet you "shopped" them for being pirates. Going back a step further... > it was me that was shopping them to the busby for the last 30 years 30 years. Even from today, that goes back to 1977... > I wanted and fought for CB to be legalised 1979 to 1981 > after using it in the States and over here..... So, by your own admissions, you were pirating while reporting others for the same. > ......I gave up when it was legalised.... So, you consider it fine to pirate until you get what you want. If they continued to pirate, then they had not got what they wanted. So, by your own standards, it should be fine. You need to take a closer look, consider whether their "pirating" was any more illegal or immoral than yours. He who is without sin... This is rather like all the fuss about "hoodies", and the secret language used by kids of today... like PAW. Did we not have our fashion of the times... Mods, Rockers, Punks, New Romantics, etc. All had their particular way of dressing, hair styles, etc. Did the parents of the day understand the youth any more than we do? Did we not kick a ball about as kids? Yet kids of today get threatened with arrest, an Asbo and even prison for playing football. Perception, OM, it's all about perception. We see it all as different, but it's really just the same thing in another colour (especially their hair). One pirate is the same as another, it's just that some don't see it. As for the running of clubs... > seeing that I have not attended any radio club since the 1970s For 30 years, you haven't been arsed to step in the door of a club... so what do you care.
