Default REPOST of sawfly ID

Sorry if this apears twice but according to NTL it has been removed from
the server and I only posted it this evening.So here follows the original
one
Can any-body identify these beasties, seen what doing what can only be egg
laying on Rosa cannina (DOG Rose) stems, they are yellow in thorax and
abdomen,the head and the area where the wing attach is shiny black, wings
are see though black,there are also definite sawfly caterpillars on the same
plant .Sorry I have no web site to post it to but can send it as a small
jpeg if needed.TIA Robert
