I have just released a young male 45kHz Pipistrelle, it got into one of
the main meeting rooms in North Yorkshire County Hall - about half a mile from here - and flew off quite happily... How do I know it was young, it had very translucent bones and wing joints and it flew rather awkwardly... Is this a very early youngster, or is it about normal ? I'd say early... -- Nick in Northallerton Also @ www.whelan.me.uk And nickw7coc on http://uk.messenger.yahoo.com/ http://messenger.msn.com/ but I like http://www.trillian.cc better and on http://www.skype.com and on http://www.google.com/talk |

Youngsters are weaned at six weeks, which would suggest that yours must have been born at the beginning of May. However Bats never read the right books...! David |
