This morning I came across a hedgehog shuffling along in the gutter of
a sidestreet (east London) it seemed OK but I was worried about it
getting run over, so I picked it up and put in a nearby garden (a bit
overgrown).
Why would it be out during the day in bright sunshine?
Why did it not curl up into a ball when I picked it up?
