Default Badgercam back on line

I have replaced the broken PSU and the badgercam is back on line every
evening from around 8.00pm. I still get a drop of signal which seems to be
caused by the street lamp outside our house. The telephone lines are also
sharing this pole and cause a surge which shuts me down, briefly.

Congratulations; very glad to see it! (Though the heading "Birdbox live"
made me wonder for a moment...)

Did you get any picture, at all? It was certainly showing on the monitor,
here. Do you have java installed and enabled? Is there any error message?
What do you see where the picture should be? There were two badgers last
night and both were right at the feeding bowls which are about 18 inches
from the camera. Is anyone else having trouble? Any feedback would be
useful. I am switching on at about 8.00 but they are not arriving till
around 9.00 for the last couple of days. Once the food has all gone, I
switch off as they don't stay around for long with no grub!

Dave.

I have "scripting by Java applets" enabled, but there was just a blank
frame with a cross in the top lefthand corner - no error message. It
may be something to do with my firewall settings, so I will
investigate, but if someone can suggest anything else that needs
changing, it would be very helpful, as I _would_ like to see Dave`s
badgers in action.

Same problem here, no picture. I don't have Java runtime environment
installed or Microsofts Java Virtual machine installed either so this
"maybe" the problem.

Java can be downloaded from Sun @
http://www.java.com/en/download/download_the_latest.jsp

This may cure your problem.

Ah, that is useful to know, and it would be good if the website showed that.
Admittedly if I connect and see empty bowls I switch off too, but it would
be good to know that the picture is just a stale one and not updated. The
time-stamp hasn't been very reliable as an indicator of whether things are
working.

Thanks, Mike. The cam now shows the date and time. Last night, they were
not too keen on the stale Hovis Granary bread and left most of it. It was
on around 8.00 pm and I turned it off just before 10.00 pm.

?? Not showing date for me. 21:57.34 only.

Have you tried fiddling with the aerial?

If you look now, it says "OFF LINE" ;-) They ate everything before 9.30
and there were 3 together for a short while.
