Default Attractive moth identification?

An attractive moth flew into the kitchen (in Berkshire) when I opened the
door last night. Scanning through my Chinnery is looks a bit like a Mottl;ed
Beauty Alcis repandata, but has short and very feathery antennae with a
distinct yellow centre rib. (I'm not a biologist; no proper terminogy here!)

As the moth became more settled on its cupboard door the antenna were folded
back into invisibility but its incredibly hairy long front legs were thrust
out in front of it instead.

Any hints to look up, please?

Mike.

I have found this website most helpful and interesting, although it is easy
to get sidetracked!

According to my book, there are a number of moths which
might be yours. These have feathered antennae:
Waved Umber,Belted Beauty,Oak Beauty,Brindled Beauty.

Try Google images for comparisons.

Thanks, Kate, very interesting, and getting sidetracked is the essence of
educational surfing!

Cheers, Mike.
