X-No-Archive
Hi, I am trying to get some IDs for plants I have photographed and put on my website, I still have one unidentified from a hedge in County Durham, if anyone has good eyesight I would be really pleased if you could have a look at the green berries and say what they are, either here or on the guestbook. I am really sorry the photo is so small but I could not adjust it properly. If anyone here is the person who confirmed my Tansy ID, thanks for that. http://members.lycos.co.uk/herbwormw...ry.plants.html Thank you so much and season's greetings to you all! Herb. |

If the shiny leaves belong to the same plant I don't know what it is, but the berries look like Bryony, and in that case the partly withered leaf at the top prabably belongs to it. -- º°º°º°º < Peter Alaca > º°º°º°º°º°º°º°º°º°º°º°º°º°º°º°º°º°º° |

I would suggest that the shiny heart shaped leaves are that of Black Bryony, Tamus communis. This often has berries of different colours as they mature from green through yellow to red on great long stems. -- ned http://www.bugsandweeds.co.uk last update 12.12.2005 |

I think that fits well with the leaves and the clustered berries. -- º°º°º°º < Peter Alaca > º°º°º°º°º°º°º°º°º°º°º°º°º°º°º°º°º°º° |
