Where does the law stand with on-shelf (i.e. not over the counter)
paracetamol sales? The reason I ask is because I went into a new chain convienience supermarket tonight and went to the counter to ask for paracetamol. The shop assistant pointed me to a shelf containing Paracetamol, Ibuprofen and other products with I thought were only availiable over the counter. Is this legal? |

Do you mean that you thought these were pharmacy only medicines when you say over the counter? If so it's not illegal. You can buy these drugs legally in other shops, but the pack sizes are smaller then in pharmacies. You also don't get any professional advice, if you need it, from a pharmacist. www.pharmacy-forum.co.uk The site for all pharmacy advice "Stuart" <stuart@obviouslymadeupaddress.com> wrote in message news:bun0oo$cgn$1@newsg3.svr.pol.co.uk... > Where does the law stand with on-shelf (i.e. not over the counter) > paracetamol sales? > > The reason I ask is because I went into a new chain convienience > supermarket tonight and went to the counter to ask for paracetamol.
