Hi
I have started a new pharmacy forum for the UK. The site is free, easy to use, and I hope it will get some good discussions going. Please have a look, if you are a pharmacist or not. Thanks www.pharmacy-forum.co.uk The UK Forum for all things Pharmacy |

What does that mean, in English please. What is spamand ? Is this some kind of free masons secret code.......LOL Is there a problem or are you just making me aware of this site? I wanted to find a way to discuss topics with other pharmacists etc so started a forum. This site is described as: - "the Information Network for Pharmacists from the UK and the Republic of Ireland " Mine is not a "discussion list" but a real time forum, that is easy to use, and doesn't insist it's members are pharmacists. It is a nice, easy way for people to talk about all things pharmacy, and helps the public. I will not allow spam. It also gives pharmacists the opportunity to say what they actually feel about any topics they want, because they can be anonymous if they wish to be. If you read the PJ you will probably be aware that the publication of your name somewhat stiffles real debate. I have often had an opinion (and most of my pharmacist friends) about a topic, but we are too afraid to write a letter in case of possible repercussions. So we talk between oueselves, amongst the people we trust. To give you an example, a friend of mine had a criminal record between the ages of 14 to 18. He is terrified about declaring this to the society, or posting anywhere he can be traced. He didn't register as a pharmacist until he was 28 as he was a mature student. Why should this be the business of the society? He passed his degree with1st class honours, after "cleaning up his act" and going to Bradford University. Where can he discuss this, except amongst his friends? His crimes were petty, when he was "young and stupid" as he says. They didn't count when he was applying to go to university, so why do they do now? They also didn't matter when he was handed his 1st, or when completing his pre-reg year. He is not the person he was at 18, and is a successful hospital pharmacist today. Ok he hasn't posted on my site yet, but is so afraid he maybe never will. He is afraid of going before the Statutory Committee and losing his job, and who can blame him! Anyway I have gone on enough. Thanks for the info about this site. I will probably join it, but be wary of what I say.
