Default Chyme, vomiting, etc

Chyme is the stuff that passes out of the stomach through the pyloric
sphincter and it is very acidic, right?

What's the stuff called when it leaves the small intestine and enters
the large intestine? And how acidic is it? (Not at all, I would
think.)

Is the cardia a sphincter or just an uncontrolled (so to speak)
opening? (Not a sphincter, I would think.)

When one vomits, is it just chyme that is ejected from the stomach, or
is it possible for the contents of the small intestine (the duodenum at
least) to be ejected into the stomach and thus from the mouth?

Does the word digestion just refer to the breaking-down of food or to
its absorption as well?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

Google is your friend.

We're happy to help - but the coursework is YOURS, so a little effort
wouldn't go unrewarded.

What course? You may be happy to help but unfortunately you're happier
to be pompous. You remind me of a nurse whom I asked why I was removed
from a ward to a side room on my own and her reply was "I think you
know."

Andrew answered that way because it is a regular question posed by Student
Nurses who try to get info without doing the work themselves

He was not being pompous just pointing out that as a student (which he
assumed you were) YOU would be better formulating the answer by researching
via Google where the answer IS easily found

And I'll bet all the other patients knew, too.
Why didn't you learn form that experience?

Just wondering.

I don't understand your remark.

There seems to be a pattern of you misreading nurses.
I wonder why you choose their company?

Soon after I had indicated my lack of understanding, I realized that you
might have meant

Since you have had an unhelpful reply from one
nurse, why post here and risk getting more?

As it happens, I was unable to get out of bed, so going to ask other
people was not possible.
