Hello to all
Advances in diabetes research have led to better ways of controlling diabetes and treating its complications. Hence they include:- * New improved Insulin and its therapy, (external and implantable insulin pumps) have advanced well to manage elevated blood sugars without any allergic reactions. * Oral hypoglycemic drug, controls diabetes type 2. * New improved blood glucose monitor (new device for self blood glucose monitoring), and hemoglobin A1c laboratory test to measure blood glucose control during previous 3 months. * Effective availability of the treatments for affected body organs due to diabetes. * Better ways to manage mother and its fetus health during the gestational diabetes phase. Thanks for sharing Have a nice day Rubber Stamps Last edited by jessica34 : 11-04-2009 at 07:15 AM. |

Hello
I agree; it sucks to have diabetes. And, Odar? Your A1c is enviable. Whatever you're doing is working. I sure do miss brown rice, crusty bread, Triscuits, Maypo. Today I was missing the possibility of ever eating an apple cider doughnut (sigh). But, you know? I feel better than I have in a couple of years. That has to count for something. It's even better than the doughnut... natural medicine Last edited by dick white : 12-30-2009 at 07:11 AM. |

Two of my friends have diabetes. They both have the insulin pumps that go into their stomach. This seems to be the easiest way of getting insulin without having to deal with shots. It's still a horrible disease that hopefully researchers and doctors will find a cure to some day.
