In Heinola Finland, Timo Kaukonen roasted in 110 degress C for 12mins
26 seconds to win the championships. Does not seem that long to me. |

Apparently a normal sauna should operate between 60 deg Celsius and 100 deg Celsius. The equiv Fahrenheit of 110 deg Celsius is 230 deg Fahrenheit which is ten times hotter than we are experiencing at the moment. So that seems pretty warm to me. Considering water has an approximate boiling point of 99.97 deg Celsius, what does that sort of temperature do to the blood or the water in the body tissues? Hope everyone remembers it's considered bad "sauna etiquette" not to use a towel when sitting or laying on the sauna benches. The next person using the sauna may not enjoy your sweat as much as you do. |

It isn't "10 times hotter". 110C is 383K, and the current daytime air temperature here is about 295K. So it's actually about 30% hotter than we are experiencing at the moment. David. |
