Thank you. We went a few years back. Really enjoyed the time there. Stayed in one of the bungalows so that we could go out without dressing first. Mostly had a quiet time on the beach and by the pool. Had a great time on the boat picnic. Spent a few days exploring the island. Lots of places to see - but you really need a car to get to them. -- Warwickshire, England |

Only visited once but that was for a week's honeymoon right at the end
of their season, late October 2003. The welcome was excellent and the trip was a success. August, however, would feel (a) much hotter and (b), I presume, fuller of people. You do have to be dressed inside the communal building (reception and restaurant). Vritomartis annually publish photos of their visitors' book, and it is always full of compliments. Some of the nearby "walks" are guided scrambles down (or up) ravines! Vritomartis provide full information on such activities. Getting between Vritomartis and an airport on the north coast by taxi (booked by Vritomartis) involved some pretty hairy driving by local machos! You might prefer the expense of a hire car, but it's not much use once you've arrived at Vritomartis. Bernard. |
