Extract with info below. > Has anyone stayed at this site recently? It gets a mention in H&E July > 2003, which states that the field only offers a cold-water standpipe. The chemical toilet emptying point is outside the naturist field across the other side of the lane (very convenient). There is a separate water supply at the disposal point for cleaning and filling flush tanks. There are also large rubbish bins in the same area, adjacent to the disposal point. We stayed regularly at the site over a period of perhaps 18 or 19 years, and during the latter period we used to leave the caravan there on a seasonal basis. It's handy for Studland beach and is an attractive spot. The views are good and you can see the sea in the distance. The atmosphere is generally relaxed and low-key, with few rules or regs - but it appears to work that way. The contra indications are: 1. The last mile and a half to the site towing a caravan along lanes that are frequently single track can be a bit hairy. However, there are plenty of other caravan sites off the same lanes (which can be the problem! especially if there is a big rally nearby!!). 2. The site slopes, fairly steeply in places, so take plenty of chocks. 3. During the school holidays, in particular, it gets busy and that can mean units parked close together. Just ask if you want more info. Mike www.alloverhotels.com |
