Latest News

At a special service to be held at the Foundation on Sunday August 5th at
2.15, Trevor is going to be ordained as an Independent Minister.

This will not be to a specific church or Denomination, but rather to the
Cabin Fellowship at Brocken Hurst, and possibly also to the wider Naturist
Community over the whole country.

For a long time, his nickname has been 'Trev the Rev' and now this is going
to become a reality! It is the fulfilment of a Calling felt since childhood,
and a witness to the Faithfulness of God over more than half a century.

For further details, or to apply to come, please contact the Foundation,
or email naturistchaplain@onetel.com

Thanks.
Though I respect Trev ('the Rev') for his views and his preparedness to
express them, I feel the term 'Ordained' is somewhat inappropriate as it is
normally applied in circumstances where it is carried out in accordance with
the doctrine of Apostolic Succession (hence my reference to Bishops).
Appointment or even Self Appointment would be a more legitimate term, as
Ordination does rather imply the authority of an established (small e)
Church.

That's certainly true of the Anglican and Catholic churches but I don't
think it's a universal requiremet. Trevor's style of worhip, as portrayed
in 'Going to Work Naked' wouldn't be my preferred choice, but I wouldn't
want to under-value it nor that of the wider non-conformist churches.

It's not a path I will be following towards salvation but apprently you
don't need to waste years in theological college when, in about 10 minutes,
you could be ordained as Rev'd Duncan.

Have a look at http://www.christianglorychurch.com/

Unbelievable!!

(Not the Rev'd) Peter
