We'll shortly be visiting Spain with the (textile) family. We have 2 weeks
at Barossa before moving on by ourselves to Costa Natura. The web shows naturist beaches in the Barossa area, but all the sites I can find are a bit sparse on the detail. Has anyone first had knowledge of the area ? Any recommendations ? - ideally, somewhere with not too much of a hike from the car. |

The entire west coast of Costa de la Luz from the Portuguese border down to Tarife is a dream for naturists. Very little in the way of towns and none of the concrete jungle found on the Costa del Sol and elsewhere. That is thankfully due in part to the limited flights to the region although Jerez is starting to grow in terms of passenger numbers. You'll have no problem finding a remote beach to strip off on away from the few towns and parking is not only close but free 98% of the time. However, the Spanish swamp the town beaches in August and textiles rule the roost. WARNING: August on the west coast is VERY hot. Don't be fooled by the cool Atlantic wind. Take plenty of bottled water (it's only a Euro (68p) for a 5 litre drum) to the beach and something to shade yourself in the afternoon when it's too hot to walk on the sand or lay in the sun. http://www.tagzania.com/item/52343 Barry |
