Default Advice please re removing pubic hair

After years of trimming my pubic hair, I am going to take the plunge and
'lose it all'!

Most off-the-shelf products seem to say they are OK for the bikini line, but
are not to be used on the genital area itself.

What do other ladies use? Do? Any help would be much appreciated before we
head off to Euronat for the first week of September.

Julie

Great choice Euronat - best place we've been to except it isn't in the south
of France. Weather etc fine but local villages too civilised. Get your wine
"en vrac" from the Euronat wine shop and the wine shop near the old level
crossing in Lesparre.

Watch the butchers - crazy queueing system - our meat was pinched - big row.

And hire bikes!

You can't beat traditional methods - a pair of tweezers and a good slug of
vodka.

I am beyond Chav fashion chasing and prefer comfort nowadays. It will be
some time before the pre war bush becomes even vaquely attractive, and for
me personally: Never

I'm not "a lady", but I've been removing my pubic hair for years by
simply shaving while in the bath every day (all I use is a little
bubble bath, no shaving foam etc), & I never ever get rashes. I
always wear reasonably loose fitting trousers & I never wear
underwear, so that probably helps.

I'm pleased to say that the bush is still very much the norm in the circles
in which I move and is, IMHO, infinitely more attractive than that ghastly
shaved look.

Being "hairy" has always caused discussion. Ladies shave their armpits in
the UK but I was surprised years ago, when I went to Germany to live, that
German women didn't shave under their armpits and, on reflection, I didn't
find that attractive. Most men shave their faces and most UK women shave
their legs. My kids tell me that most teenage girls trim their pubic hair
these days.

I had an angiogram a few years ago and was required to remove some of my
pubic hair. As it grew back I didn't like the itching and have continued to
shave completely to this day.

It's all a matter of choice but I can tell you that it is very comfortable
and as easy as face shaving once you've got the hang of it. (Remember your
first face shaves with a wet razor??)

Google for a site called SCN (smooth cut naturists) You should find
the info you need there about hair removal. I used to be `smooth`
but having to shave at least every other day becomes a bore. I simply
trim now. Hamish

Hi

You don't seem to be getting any replies from female members of this group.
Surprise, surprise!

There are lots of pages on the web that can give you advice. But most of
them boil down to the same thing if you want to save "down there". Be soft
and use a sharp razor.

These are my tips as a regular shaver. I use use Palmolive shaving cream and
a brush (no pun intended!!) and a Gillette Lady Venus/Vibrance electric wet
shaver (around £7.00 with some blades).

At the start, trim your hair with a a pair of scissors or an electric
trimmer until it is like stubble

Have a bath or shower.

Lather the area you wish to shave with the cream and hot water.

On the first shave use the razor ever so lightly and remove the hair
"against the grain". The electric shaver does the work. Do not "dig" the
razor in and do not go over the same area more than once.

Thoroughly wash and dry the area after you have shaved. After drying use
talc to check where you might have missed.

Repeat this about three times a week and soon you will be able to shave
easily on a regular basis and change direction of the shaving to get rid of
areas where hairs grow in other directions.

Of course, I have based the above on my own experience. I have relatively
sensitive skin and avoid all alcohol skin produects (although I love wine!!)
but using the electric wet razor and the Palmolive really works for me.

I wish you success.

Rhys

Nah Rhys

A pair of tweezers and a strong resolve should do it.

Biting on a piece of wood helps.

Perhaps because none of them go in for pubic hair removal, either
partially or to the extent that Julie proposes - so they have no
information of value to offer?

Bush fine but I don't understand the standpoint that says I will spend hours
shaving my face, a fortune getting my hair cut, but that very important and
intimate bit I'm going to ignore and let it run wild.

No thanks.

I don't understand what you are saying here. You start by saying "bush fine"
and then go on to say other things that seem to contradict that. So are you
actually saying that a bush is fine, or not?

Is this 'Democracy' the form of Government which means that if the people
elect someone who is unpopular elsewhere (such as happened in Iran, or
Palestine), the USA has the right to ignore the result?
I think we should be told.
