It's part of the bikes charging system. It was the week spot on a Suzuki of that age/type. Nearly everyone swapped it for a Superdream one. Easy job there's instruction on the web even. They used to sell for about £15 in breakers and worth the swap. I might even have a few in the shed. I used to grab SD reg/rec units whenever I saw them lying around. -- www.ratrodz.co.uk XJ900 Trike GS850 Trike Some people are like slinkys.... no real use but it makes you smile when they fall down stairs! |

One small front fairing - not replaced. One set of engine protection bars - not replaced. Clutch leaver - £20, foot pegs - £20, indicators - £30, mirrors - £20. Not repaired the small dent in the tank apart from painting over it a bit. Nagging disapproval from Mrs Tim - incalculable. Bouncing along the M4 at 80mph - one very large bruise on my backside, one pair of trousers - £150, one jacket - £150, one pair of boots - £125, one helmet - £200. Of course. But it was a devil on shoulder, angel on the other situation. Maybe next yaer but what I'm really looking for is a nice Transalp or Africa Twin or possibly a BMW GS. Good to hear your enjoying the Hornet. Glad it hasn't bitten you too hard. It's only establishing mutual respect. That either makes perfect sense to you or it's the biggest pile of jiz you've ever read. -- JustaBloke http://www.justabloke.com |
