Hi group,
Sorry to bother anyone, but I have just bought this old classic, and wondered where best to try for bits as I have as yet no idea where to try and source a centre stand for my bike. If any one has any recommendations, especially ones to assist :-) then I would be most grateful. I have a spare cast alloy rear wheel for the same RD 400 DX if anyone needs a swap or something. Nev |

Hi Nev, take a look at http://www.pgm1.freeserve.co.uk/ - I have bought various parts from them and they're knowledgeable and friendly. Many thanks for the link, I will have a butchers shortly. I've just bid on one that I've found on Ebay, but now I feel sorry for the guy I outbid! Oh well, I really need that centre stand. Sorry guys, but it was a genuine request. And I'm no longer winning the auction on Ebay, grr! Cheers, Nev |

I did wonder why it was the only one of the RDs to have a 2 letter code. Mind you, I used to have a Fizzy, and I'm sure that was referred to as a DX also. Well, OK, I'll try and refer to it as a D from now on, but I'm still puzzled as to where I've seen it referred to as a DX. Nev |

They never made a RD250/400DX, only a RD250/400D HTH -- Lozzo: The RD Pedant Yamaha YZF1000R Thunderace Drivetime DJ for Radio Champion 105 FM. |
