Hi,
My GF is looking to buy a set of leathers.. but she's only little. Size uk 8.. and the smallest jacket Hein Gericke had in was a 34(uk 10).. and that the was the smallest they did, even tho they do size 32 ladies pants. Anybody have any idea where to buy a small ladies leather jacket? Can you get larger jackets modified? Shall I just dump her and get a fat bird[1] [1] Not really an option |

Go into the shop and try the Sienna and the Amber as well as the Tribal Evo. She's not the smallest at a size 8. I've fitted young teenage girls smaller than that out with 2-piece leathers before now. My tip is to ignore the labels and the sizes and just try stuff on until you find the right fit. I sold a lady a gents jacket with ladies trousers yesterday, she had a size 32A bust with a size 14 arse and as she put it "These jackets are made for girls with tits, and I don't have any, where are the bloke's?" -- Lozzo '95 Kawasaki ZZR1100D, '97 Kawasaki GPZ500S, '83 Honda CB250RS Big Zed Little Zed Dead shed New to ukrm? : www.ukrm.net/faq/ukrmscbt.html "He's not big and he's not called Tony" |

Yeah, but unfortunately i) they won't have anything that small in stock, and ii) even if they do, they'll only be suitable for longer-legged ladies. The HG leathers that fitted Sally (size 8-10) in the waist, had interestingly-positioned knee armour about half-way down her shin. YOu could investigate made to measure (Crowtree or MJK) or if you're feeling flush, BKS [1] [1] I love mine, but I still cringe a little bit at the price. That said, two years and approx 20k miles on and they still look like the day I got them without a loose stich or other blemish to be seen. |

I just assume that if you low-side you will still be vaguely sitting down, while if you high side it, I suspect you will land on the top half of your body anyway and your legs just sort of flail along behind you. Of course, if you get off then you will probably end up like Monz bend legs in funny directions anyway. Anyway here had time to take notes as they slid down the road? -- Pete |
