Default Stainless exhaust for ER-5 A2

Hi all,

I've been bribing Molly with booze to repaint the exhuast on my ER-5.
It's a lot of hassle though, and has resulted on the bike being off the
road for some time. So I've been wondering what the options are for
stainless steel exhausts...

I see Motad do a system for them, but Molly's warned me that some of
their exhausts have "issues" - burning holes at the bends where they
come out of the engine, mucking up carburation, etc. Is the system for
the ER-5 any good?

I also notice that the marketing blurb on the Kawasaki site for the last
model of ER-5 said it shipped with a stainless system. Is this true, and
does anyone know if it'd fit one of the earlier models?

Cheers in advance for any help!

My 07 ER-5 has come with a one piece stainless system. Although the bike
appears the same as earlier models I don't think that Kawasaki would have
fitted the stainless system out of the goodness of their heart, I would
imagine that the new system has a catalytic converter to meet euro
regulations.

So maybe the new Kawasaki stainless system would need retuning of the carbs
to suit.

I'm sure someone with knowledge will be along soon to enlighten.

David
