Buy a bit of extra worktop and check quality of cut on that first.
Cut from the back of the worktop. Use masking tape on the laminated side
where cuts occur. Fairly fine blade, slow feed. Clamp a guide bar on for
cutting corners where worktops join, don't try and follow a line by eye
without lots of practice.
Seal the back and edges of all worktops with polyurethane before
fitting.
