Slightly OT: I remember discussing with the BCB about booking rail travel to the Pyrenees for our annual ski holiday, and the sheer amount of hassle involved in so doing. Is there any* website *anywhere* where one can choose one's departure point in the UK, choose one's arrival point on the Continent, click *Go* and get a price instantly, and then book? Like with all the airline sites? Because if there is I haven't found it. -- K1100LT 955i 750SS CB400F CD250 CM200 SL125 GAGARPHOF#30 GHPOTHUF#1 BOTAFOT#60 The bells, the bells..... |

I go for free (as do Fiona and Jess) but only second class. Fiona's family are from Rothesey and normally we go first as I just ask the guard. This particular occasion they travelled by themselves and a guaranteed seat in first on a busy train was very cheap. Galls me to pay for a ticket though. -- Simon |

It is, of course, _horrendously_ expensive compared to Ryanair or Easyjet or whatever: 181,50¤ is the cheapest ticket I can find, but that's the Eurostar portion of the journey. D. My initial thought was that it was having trouble finding which 'Barcelone' to use, as if you click on the little magnifying glass with the words, 'ou choisissez ici', you get several choices. But it still won't work. Oh, well.. D. -- des | 'trop d'la balle, j'kiffe grave!' BMW K100-LT |

Not a problem if it's an overnight sleeper, but still a helluva long time in an era where we have choo-choos that go quite smartly. I reckon I could do it by road in less time. -- K1100LT 955i 750SS CB400F CD250 CM200 SL125 GAGARPHOF#30 GHPOTHUF#1 BOTAFOT#60 The bells, the bells..... |
