Really? on the 1000?

I've _so far_ not had the brakes sieze up on either the SV or the GSX-R6...

And that's not washing it much at all.

Not on the Thou, but I head pretty nearly the same experience on the
750. Except without the seized pad retaining pins.

The Thou won't be seeing salt enough to cause a problem.

It got washed every weekend, but it got used everyday no matter what
the weather.

No. The Tokico 6-pots fitted to Andy's 6R are the same as those on
the 9R, 12R, GSX-R750 and TL1000.

I've got them too, they seem OK but aren't as good as the 4 pots on the
R6 / R1 used to be.

That's more to do with the extra hundredweight the bike weighs, I
imagine.

It could be.

Suzuki really need to get a move on with their gixxer thou based
streetfighter. Hopefully they'll put a bit of a screen on it, and I'll
go out and buy one.

Why would anyone want a de-tuned version of a gixxer thou? Just go
and buy a crashed one and sort it yourself so at least you've got
the engine working as it should.
You wouldn't be worried about the fact that it's a bit more
powerful than anything you've owned before would you?

Heh. All of his excuses would be gone.

OTOH he might actually improve, given how easy they are to ride. G'wan
Rob, you know you want to.

I think mechanically they're the same as the Thou ones as well, except
the Thou's are painted gold.

Later models have 4-pots, of course...

I'm assuming to compete with the Zthou they'd not detune it much.

Nope, a more powerful bilke doesn't worry me at all, the throttle only
does what you make it to do. What I don't like is the extreme head
down, weight on the wrists position of most sportsbikes, it f*cks up my
right hand.
