I asked Vodafone about an upgrade a couple of weeks ago - their advice was to
stick with the same phone and wait for the K800i replacement due around
Christmas. And not to get an N95.

I'm really holding out for an iPhone though

I played with a pre-production one of those at Burnt's the other day.

It really is very 'Apple'. You'll love it.

I wouldn't buy the first generation one in the UK - if any phone really
needed 3G, it's the iPhone. Without it, it seems a bit pointless.

Given who had the one that I played with, I would doubt that.

Yes I know who he works for but it did hit some of the trade press that O2
were trying to tie up an exclusive

Blimey. I use mine a lot, but I still get nearly 5 days out of a
battery.

It sounds to me like you'll need to regularly charge any modern phone.

I spend an average of 4-5 hours a day on the mobile, using the bluetooth
headset, rather than the phone itself; the Jabra 500v changed my life

I worked out that my 1-1.5 hour each way drive was "dead" time, so
schedule conf calls from 7-8 am, and usually from 6-7 or 8 as well.

Means I can concentrate on better things than meetings when I'm at work.

.... is the correct answer.

All syncing is through a single instance of iTunes so you couldn't sync
your email to your work laptop and your music to a home PC.

Bearing in mind I only played with one for a couple of days... I don't
think so however YMMV.

I'll put my music on my work laptop, then.
