Sir probably should have used the high temperature oil then :-). > Seems alright now though. Mine is/was cranked up fairly high because there still was some high-temp oil in there from my aborted attempt to install it before my trip to France. Now that it's got the blue oil in there it drank about half an RMV on the 20 miles back from work. Guess I better turn it down, although the chain really seems to like being smothered in oil. -- Timo Geusch 3 1/2 Sport | Morini Corsaro 125 | CB750/4 K2 | Bimota YB7 | Sprint ST BOTAFOF #33 TWA#10 The UKRM FAQ: http://www.ukrm.net/faq/ukrmfaq1.html |

Two or three years ago I rode to the Ardennes with a colleague on a CB500. We RV'd at Maidstone services and the first thing I noticed was the back tyre of his bike, utterly plastered on the left-hand side with oil from the Scottoiler. Luckily he'd only recently got his licence and hadn't tried any fancy cornering. We cleaned the tyre as best we could with paper towels and petrol, and turned the flow right down low. I didn't actually think it was possible to get a Scottoiler turned up that high. |

My Bandit seems to do this on whatever setting the Scottoiler is turned to. Although the higher the flow, the more oil on the side of the tyre. -- Muck Bandit 600n(With added ducktape); CG125(Rattle Slug) DS#1 ; DOMO#1 ; SH#2 ; ICQ: 166144431 Remove _TEETH_ to e-mail |

He must've left it on prime then - even with my recent '15 drips a minute' there's hardly a trace to the tyre. |

No noise from the chain when you spin the rear wheel, gearchanges are slightly smoother and the rattle at about 2700rpm has all but disappeared. -- Timo Geusch 3 1/2 Sport | Morini Corsaro 125 | CB750/4 K2 | Bimota YB7 | Sprint ST BOTAFOF #33 TWA#10 The UKRM FAQ: http://www.ukrm.net/faq/ukrmfaq1.html |
