I did consider going in the car, but as you say, it kinda defeats the
object. Still, warm and dry -v- wet and cold....

It wouldn't defeat the object if you're simply turning up for the social
thing. Unless there's a ride out then what's the point of getting cold and
wet?

There's a ride up, and a ride down, dunno about a ride out.

On that note, I dropped the bandit off at George Whites this morning
for a service and MOT (along with the stock can, having been unable
to find a 5mm hex bit in my toolbox yesterday) and discovered on the
way that my waterproofs aren't very, so tomorrow should be interesting
at the very least.

I think that there are two notable events missing from the ukrm calendar.

To go between the BOSM and the EOSM we need a MOSM, where all the PFFs can
turn up without having to worry that they might get a little damp or have to
sleep in a tent that's a bit chilly.

We also need a MOWM, between the EOSM and the BOSM, where everybody except
the RTBs can turn up in their cages without feeling ashamed.

Alternatively we could all chip in a few quid and just buy the Black Horse
and turn it into the ukrm club-house.

I'm going in my car. The BMW is a bit borked at the moment and waiting
for a slot in my local dealers workshop schedule. Plus I only intend to
get hideously drunk anyway. The bike is therefore surplus to requirements.

We're carring it too - there's a load of underground railway gear to
move around and then we're off Northwards to pick up Elly's new FOAD
tent and associated gear. I don't see it as an issue apart from the
car park not looking as pleasantly packed out with bikes as usual.

By the sound of it, it'll be packed out with cars!
