Oh I dunno. I had one on my scrambler derived CZ175, coupled to the gear lever it was. It worked. I think it only worked for changing down. It could have been for changing up though I can't remember but I do know it was only one way. So really I suppose I should be saying that one way or another it worked and the other way it didn't but it didn't half work well when it did. The difference is, the clutch and shift drum are actuated by electric motors rather than a hand lever and your foot. There's a nice video of how it works at the link given above.
