There's the Carole Nash alternative - they'll insure a car for you,
mirroring your bike NCD. Max bike insurance NCD = max car NCD on a
new policy.

I phoned Auntie Carole as advised by more than one person in this
thread. After going through all the questions the answer came £940.
This is not a typo, NINE HUNDRED AND FORTY QUID. Girly on phone says
that this is the cheapest she could get and that it was with Zurich. I
told her that the Honda dealer policy also with Zurich was £440. She
put me on hold and got advice and came back with £421.

Do insurance companies just pluck numbers out of thin air? Funny old
business, eh?

The VW is still not sold, so you haven't missed your chance if you
were considering it. It's going on autotrader at the end of the week.
