Default R1150R questions

I'm hoping to buy an R1150R pretty soon but am not sure about the various
braking systems. It seems that there are 3 flavours
Standard
Servo
ABS

Anyone got any thoughts or experiences ?

Thanks

All the reviews I've read have been for the GS.
The ABS seems to be the kiddie.

I've read the reviews, but don't know if the ABS is worth the extra cost on
a light, highly manoverable machine

Something to do with lack of feel from the front end, what with it having an
anti dive thingy.
This is just what I've read, and unfortunatly have no experience of it.

It must be worth the extra cost on a BMW then.

But you're buying an R1150R, not a light, highly manouverable, machine !

There's only two sorts of current BMW brake AFAIK:

With ABS, you get the rather annoying, whiny, servo as well. The brakes
don't have as much feel as conventional brakes, and are snatchy until
you get used to them, but they do stop you very quickly in panic
situations, with minimal risk of lockup. On the "R", I'm not sure
whether the rear brake is linked to the front or not. It is on the RT,
but it isn't on the RS.

If you don't go for ABS, the brakes have no servo assistance, and
operate conventionally.

"TW" <> There's only two sorts of current BMW brake AFAIK:

So the servo assist is a part of the ABS

On the "R", I'm not sure

I think that the on the R the system is partially linked.
The rear brake is independant, but the front lever works both front & rear
