Default R 1100 Rt or Pan

I am wondering if any one has any feedback regarding the above two bikes.
Got a Blackbird at the minute need to change for something that I can
commute to London on and still ride and enjoy at the weekend?

I've not ridden the R1100RT, but as a 'spirited' Pan rider I can
testify that they commute very well and can be great fun to ride, just
for the pleasure of it.

As Simes says, the ABS version is probably a good idea. If you haven't
got ABS you just need to plan ahead a bit more. It also returns an
average of 45mpg - although I have have got down in the low 30s on
occassions.

Try and get a test ride on both bikes and see which suits.

Got a mig welder here, we could make a modern art sculpture out of it.
