I rather liked this one from the David Blunkett Policy Maker page -

"Deport the BBC to Guantanamo Bay, and then detain them indefinitely
under the Terrorism Act. And charge them for it."

I'm not sure if the Blunkett Policy Maker (link from that page) is
making it up or actually quoting him.

<thread hijack>

... for possibly leaving a little black rubber line outside
Eaton Place last evening ...

As I was in mid-three point turn and across the road, chappie in a
black Golf came hurling round the corner, so rather than being the T
in the bone, I gave it loud pedal, full lock and stepped off the
clutch. A bit hastily, I admit.

At first I thought you were giving your rear tyre a warming....

Then I saw this.

IMO, there's no such thing as hasty, when it comes to self
preservation...

However some may call that POV "harsh". ;-)

<G> I was halfway through a fake Sir.Doggy post when I was counselled
against it. Damn the voices!

They do that here. The blind bend and the pinch point seem to be a
challenge to their masculinity. I usually leave them to sort it out
themselves.
