Ages ago I said I had some footage of a program called Ultimate Biker
Challenge featuring Urals. This has now made it onto my PC in the form of an AVI of about 110Mb. If I knew how to put it onto UK Nova I would or even the GMail drive if that is still going. -- XJ600S |

I've got quite a few things to seed [1] but I'll only put the decent parts of Seven Ages on that I have, as 1 & 2 are poor quality so I'd like to replace them with better ones. 4, 5 & 6 are all top notch, so those will be on tonight. The first two I have are either poor quality (ep2) or start about 3 mins in (ep1) so I don't want to distribute those unless that's all there is. I'll stick the good ones I have up and then download yours, if you don't mind. -- Antony |

Well, so much for that idea: after a couple of abortive attempts at creating a torrent, I figured out what I was meant to do, but now it always fails when trying to hash the files. Apparently, the hard disk has bad blocks (which I knew already, but it doesn't seem to want to repair properly), and the firmware's out of date (which is an odd thing for Windows to complain about, but I guess it might be a symptom of something else). Ummm... I could stick the whole series on to a couple of DVDs, if anybody's desperate for them? -- Eddie eddie@deguello.org http://www.last.fm/group/ukrm |

I shall threaten the hard disk this evening. I'm sure I used to know this, but what's the best way of "fixing" bad blocks? I thought you could force the hard disk to read the bad block, and it moved the data automagically, but I've done a CHKDSK /R and it hasn't helped. -- Eddie eddie@deguello.org http://www.last.fm/group/ukrm |
