T plate 1100 Pan. 50th Anniversary Limited Edition, in a fetching shade
of gold. ABS and TCS (see below). 105,000 miles. Baglux tank cover. Honda colour matched top-box to go with the panniers. Cosmetically challenged, and the ABS is currently faulting. Last time that happened cleaning the battery terminals cured it. I haven't tried that yet. Assume dodgy sensor (about £100 from David Silver). 1 year's MOT (mid August 2008) and taxed to end of November. Currently sporting a towbar, but that'll probably be removed and flogged separately. Basically scruffy but sound Pan. I would have thought it would better breaking it at that price, even in big lumps. Seats, exhaust, swinging arms, ABS bits etc. seem to go for good prices. If it has the > 40A alternator then that's worth a fair bit too. (Having spent ages > looking for one myself) It's almost always more lucrative to break relatively old bikes than sell them complete. If you have the tools to do the job and space to store the bits, it takes just three weeks to dispose of every nut and bolt on Ebay. Week One: all the stuff that's in the want. Bodywork, trim, instruments, crashable bits, etc etc. Tinware for SOBs. OE exhausts for SOBs... Week Two: second division stuff. electrics, suspension, switches, brakes, whatever. Start it all at 99p and no reserve. Week Three: whatever's left. Frequently a frame and a wheel or two, plus assorted crap. Start it at 99p and no reserve, buyer collects, and someone comes and takes it away. Job done. -- K1100LT 955i 750SS CB400F CD250 CM200 SL125 GAGARPHOF#30 GHPOTHUF#1 BOTAFOT#60 The bells, the bells..... |

And the aircon isn't as cold as it should be. My old one was great. Like yours, it has a 'lazy' rear door on the central locking - only IIRC it was the rear right-hand one. The best thing was the comfort - best seats and best ergonomics of any car I've driven. Fabulous build quality too. Aircon stopped blowing cold shortly before I sold it - £95 and a Man in a Van sorted that out with a re-gas. -- K1100LT 955i 750SS CB400F CD250 CM200 SL125 GAGARPHOF#30 GHPOTHUF#1 BOTAFOT#60 The bells, the bells..... |

It was when my old Honda Accord Aerodeck failed with an ABS light fault (that wasn't the only fault it failed on mind - the root cause of the ABS light being on was that one of the rear brake lights had blown and that *always* caused the ABS light to come on with that model..)
