Sorry I've lost track of my previous post "Valuation Required" remember it?
Molly you said about £1400 TOG you said about £1600 Quite agree with both of you, but why are dealers offering me £2000 for it against a £3000 bike? Thought dealers always offered naff all. Apologies for the delayed response to your posts, I was ill. Ta, D |

Thought dealers always offered naff all. Maybe the £3k bike is only worth £2k and they're having problems shifting it? - if they know they can easily shift on your old bike at a profit then it's worth them doing. -- Steve H 'You're not a real petrolhead unless you've owned an Alfa Romeo' http://www.italiancar.co.uk - Honda VFR800 - MZ ETZ300 VW Golf GL Cabrio - Alfa 75 TS - Alfa 155 TS Lusso - COSOC KOTL BoTAFOT #87 - BoTAFOF #18 - MRO # - UKRMSBC #7 - Apostle #2 - YTC # |

I'll see what they offer against something a little more main steam. Don't really want it to go to a dealer coz its a lovely bike, took me ages to find one as good as this, I want it to go to a good home....think I'm going soft in my old age. D D |

That's it, sort of. The prices quoted for each bike are not the important figure - is the new bike worth a £1000 more than yours? That's the only question you need to consider. Dealers hope that the feel good factor generated by a high trade in price makes you ignore the inflated asking price. Works very well in a lot of cases. -- BMW R1150GS |
