Default Paging the Northern bikers.

Right, after inviting Mr Hewitt up on Sunday I remembered that I have to
spend Sunday afternoon at my Mum's 60th birthday soiree.

However, there's nothing to stop me getting out of the house at first
whiff of a sparrow's fart and having some fun on the bike.

So do any of the Northern crew fancy, say, a breakfast bacon buttie in
Barnard Castle, followed by a gentle first-bimble-of-the-year type run
Northwards?

According to the Beeb 5-day forecast Newcastle is going to be sunny with
occasional showers, but the western side of the North Pennine moors is
scheduled for bright sunshine all day.

I'm sure I can twist Eddie's arm until he agrees to come along and my
mate Mick might manage to shovel the dust off his ZX-636 for the day.
Anybody else?

Sorry, it's confusing isn't it?

It's just that a 130 mile run takes bloody ages on our more usual
ibikes.

Can you not do an iRun?

That's what I'll be doing this weekend whilst painting the bathroom

No, I've spent all winter doing iRuns[1], I want something a bit less
virtual.

> That's what I'll be doing this weekend whilst painting the bathroom

Well nobody else has offered to turn up yet and the BBC weather forecast
is notoriously unreliable, so I might end up either actually painting my
bathroom or wishing I was.

[1] Of course, that's nothing compared to the 10 months I've put in
retrying the iCrux on "Impossible Buttress Route 1". I have to get back
on that climb.

I was going to say I might, but I think the Manchester lot are doing
stuff tonight/tomorrow, and I want to spend some of the weekend drooling
over bikes I might purchase.

*sigh*

I've resigned myself to shopping and decorating all w/e, with a quick
blast on the Sunday. (
