Default OT:VNC from remote location

Yet more "help me I'm crap with networks" questions.

I want to access my main desktop from a remote location, say an internet
cafe, and VNC it. Problem is I think I've set it up right but can't
access it from behind my router, IYSWIM.

The VNC server has a webserver that can be accessed via port 5800 +
display number. http://www.realvnc.com/javavncviewer.html
I've set the display number as 5 so I assume the viewer is listening to
port 5805.

I've also set the my routers port forwarding of 5805 to the local IP of
the appropriate machine, like this,
http://www.sweller.co.uk/images/ports1.jpg

So, http://sweller.dynalias.org:5805/ should access my machines VNC
server and give you the password prompt, does it?

The VNC server also listens for a proper VNC connection on port 5900, as
the display is 5 this should be port 5905. Can you connect directly
using a VNC viewer, again on sweller.dynalias.org

If it doesn't work, why not? dammit.

If I chuck sweller.dynalias.org:5 into a VNC viewer I get the password
prompt

I get a big Java window, then a password prompt.
I can't close the options window using the "X".

It's fine from here. (i.e. it prompts for a password)

I just put the password "admin" in and it let me straight through. You
may want to change this.

CT might sit behind a firewall which blocks outbound connections on that
port.

Dunno. It tries to connect to 80.0.169.125 and then I get
the IE "Cannot find server or DNS Error" message.
