F.A.B. stands for...

....absolutely nothing.

Quote: It was something they made up on the spur of the moment during a
writing session, Sylvia says, and it was never intended to stand for
anything other than to spell out the letters of a popular British slang
word--"fab"--during that era. Many people have attempted to find other
meanings ("Filed, Actioned, Briefed", "Fine--Acknowledge Broadcast"), but it
never meant anything other than "fabulous".

My understanding was it was "For All Brothers".

Others say, not unreasonably, it meant nothing; other than perhaps fab as
in fabulous.

He sounded reasonably alive on Steve Wright's show on Radio 2 the week
before last.

He also wasn't entirely chuffed at not being invited to contribute.

I find Steve Wright one of the most facile, inane and unamusing
presenters on radio. Worse than a late night local radio wannabee.

He really, really makes me want to stab, stab, stab.

You are correct, his show's whole format grates on me in the same way that
looking at photo's of myself in the eighties does (particularly my wedding
photos circa 1986, as I had a *really* gay perm)

Heh, as I said, no webspace.
I might be persuaded to bring one to EOSM, and charge beers per view.
