Default OT: (Slightly) Bruges by road

Ok,
FOAK
Anyone experienced the route to Bruges?
Need to find out best/cheapest/easiest way to get there for an overnight
stay around 10-11th July.
Any recommendations for not *too* expensive but nice Hotels?
Using the cage so SWMBO can drive too ;-)

For 1 night I'd stay in the IBIS. Rooms are similar to Travel Inns over here.
Although Accor have several hotels of differing standards there. See:

Probably cheaper to go on ryanair/sleazyjet and hire a car.

hotels wont be cheap - brugge is a big tourist area:

Dunno, but when you get there lookout for the very expensive cafes in the
main touristy bit. Check the price list before ordering.
