Default OT: London Underground Standards

Am I right in thinking that one of the ukrm regulars works within LU? If so,
I'm trying to track down a copy of Iss 6 of TA251, the standard for
Introducing New /Modified Rolling Stock.

Any pointers anyone?

Cheers

Paul Corfield is your man, but he works within the commercial department
rather than engineering or operations, IIRC.

Err that's probably me.

I'm sure I could probably track this down but I have to ask why you need
it? I can't just hand out Standards documentation.

If your employer has engaged you on work that requires access to this
document then your employer should make contact with the appropriate LUL
Chief Engineer or else if you or your employer are sub contractors to
one of the Infracos then the Infraco should be in a position to provide
you with a copy.

I'm working on the Safety Assurance for the D Stock refurb and have a copy
of Issue 5 of the standard; unfortunately the management organisation of the
various elements of Bombardier and the interface between them and Metronet /
LUL is less than clear so its less than easy to use the official channels.

See above - I'm working for a small company that's being sub-contracted by
Bombardier to produce the Operational Safety Plan for LUL and also the
overall Assurance plan against TA251. I fully anticipate being supplied an
official copy of the standard (especially since they're calling up Iss 6),
however, knowing the way that BTS work, I don't anticipate that this will be
soon! Therefore in an attempt to de-risk the assurance process (and there
fore the acceptance of the D Stock refurb programme) I thought I'd try that
well known unofficial route - ukrm. If you are able to help, that would be
fantastic, however, if its not possible or unduly difficult then please
don't worry.

Cheers

I find that highly unreassuring really.

I find it unsurprising.

I assume you're working on behalf of Bombardier?

You are being paid weekly and in cash, aren't you...?
