It's a question, not a statement.

Anyway, can someone with a clue about these things respond in the next
29 minutes or so?

*sigh*, I want a response from someone with a clue about such things.
You only want me to buy it so you can ride it; which I guess you'd do
pretty soon after I got it. Following that, you wouldn't really worry
massively if the engine grenades or if I've got a horribly big service
bill. Oddly enough, I would.

I've sent the vendor an email asking "what's wrong with it" and "did you
have the 800 quid service done". So far he's not answered, I find this
*slightly* concerning since I'd assume he would be in when the auction's
ending. Maybe not. I'm close to giving this one a miss, although
you'll be pleased to hear I've bid on two others (lost) and am currently
watching another.

Also, he claims he's moving to Spain but isn't flogging anything else on
eBay.

I'm worried because I understand some disreputable sorts view eBay as an
outlet for the crap that they don't want to keep themselves because it's
unreliable and they can't get the dealer to take it back. Hard to
believe but there are people like that out there you know.

You didn't buy it then?

Well, not unless your ebay name is jane9517.

Which, to be honest, it could be.

No, didn't bid. Far too much with the fact that the vendor hadn't
responded to my emails.

A practically new R1200GS - with more rattles than you've ever imagined

Seems like a Bitsa, I'm assuming you avoided it? which seems sensible. There
are lots of detail differences between the 916 and 996.

Item 120139935072 has all the goodies fitted and looks like an excellent
bike for a little more than the bitsa sold for.
Hmm I looked again and it even has Marchesini's fitted. WUN could have
bought that and had a proper Yellow bike.

He wasn't warning, he was asking. It's why he used a question mark I
would've thought.

Rattles come free with Enfields. Along with bangs, creaks, groans and
large bills.

And puddles of oil.
