Dear FOAK,
You have very kindly helped me out before and I'd quite like to pester you again: I was just checking the oil and the book said to run the bike for 3-5 minutes, so I did, and i put my hand underneath the bike by the rear wheel to have prod of something and felt moving air on my hand. So I had closer look, and it seems there is a small hole where the end bit of the exhaust (the fat bit) joins the thin bit and gas is coming out. I looked in the book and there is nothing about it in there, so should it be there or not? The hole seems to be smooth and so I think it should be there, but as I'm very new to this sort of thing, I'm not totally sure. Here are a couple of photos I took, if it helps http://www.holway.org/dave/Bike/imgdir2.php (the pictures are about 700kb in total) It's an XR125L (2003 model) and has 4100 miles on the clock from new, and only been serviced by the dealer, but I did put some oil in a while back. Thanks in advance, Dave. |

I'll invest in a cover. Thank you for the information as regards the hole, though. |
