Any of you digital camera users found a decent value Digital Processing
service who'll take my images from CD and put them onto 7*5's matt finish, white borders. The cheapest I've come accross for the above is £0.40p per print, which considering I'm doing 150 prints quite regularly is bloody extautionate. Bonus Print do Digital 7*5's for about 22p per print, but dont do Matt/White Border options. Who/what do you lot use, and what are you paying? It's got the same sensor as the 10D just not quite the same features/buffer. But there's always the Russian firmware update if you *really* need the features of the 10D. Sorby's got a 10D. He'll let you know what that's like. Mines actually a Digital Rebel which I got from Uhmurkha. Same as the 300D bit with a prettier badge. Now, there are better cameras and it does have it's limits, but for the price, it's a little gem. -- HooDooWitch (NaCl - Gratis) http://www.usefilm.com/photographer/51251.html |

I'm pretty much the amateur when it comes to photography but I got myself a 300D and find it excellent. I'm still in "exploration" mode as to discovering what it is capable of. The main thing though is that it is a decent size - I cannot get on with tiny digital cameras as my hands are so big. -- Paul C - "the big camp bastard" (tm d.a.r.s.y) VFR800 | ZX6R | R1150GS BOD#5, two#4, BOTAFOT#23, BOTAFOF#4, URMSBC#09, COFF#09 Admits to working for London Underground! |

So far I've kept my film camera (which takes all my pro lenses) as my spare. But yes, a digital SLR as a backup would be better. When I get my studio sorted out I'd really like a Hasselblad H1 (medium format body) & Kodak DCS 645H digital back (16mp !) - but I don't have the spare £15k just at the moment (or anytime soon!). -- Sorby |

Difficult to justify a 10D with the 20D arriving any day now. If offers a higher pixel count with less noise. However, the 300D can be had (with 18-55mm lens) from EBuyer (of all places) for £610. Which is half the price of the 20D (with the same lens). Pairing the 300D up with a 24-70 F2.8L lens is nicer, though. -- Smorgo (Steve Morgan) Hello: '01 VFR 800 FI, '86 V8 110 Goodbye: '01 NT650V E-Mail address is spam-trapped.
