Default European Block Exemption law - used car warranties

Does this "Block Exemption" law apply to used car warranties?

From what I can see it applies to new cars and manufacturer guaranties,
but I can't find anything anywhere about used car warranties?

The dealer Ross bought his Focus from has said his warranty T&Cs say he
must get it serviced with them, and of course they're about 3 times
more expensive than other places.

If anyone can point me to anything that I can print out and give to him
to take down and wave in their faces (tomorrow) it'd be appreciated!

I take it you or Ross have read the T&Cs to see if this claim is in print?

It's not a totally unbiased source but the Warranty Guide at
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/CARS/buy..._servicing.jsp says
"Make sure that you have the option to choose where to take your car to be
serviced and repaired"

So, he's stuffed, maybe. Probably time to work out the economic rationality
of paying their labour rate against the probability of a successful claim
on this "warranty". If the scheme is underwritten by the selling dealer my
advice is to chalk it up to experience and walk away.
