On the basis that if you get hit by one of these people then you have no recourse via their insurance co. and the likelihood is that if they can run they will - then you're left holding the baby, dead or alive. And these people don't have the excuse of being too drunk to know what they're doing - they know exactly what they're doing everytime they get in their cars. And its just so easy too - buy a used car privately with £200 cash with 3 months tax (if you want to avoid roadside stops)- if asked give false details of name and address to the seller, never register the car in your name, never buy insurance, never worry about mot - run every speed camera cos you don't care - get stopped by police give either the same false details or the sellers details and take the seven day producer and never turn up - dump the car somewhere, anywhere, and buy another. Who pays for all this? the fully legal fully insured innocent daily driver!! |
