well, just in case anyone actually does want to turn up:
09:45 for 10:00 start at the filling station @ South Mimms Services - aim to end at High Beach around 11:30-12:00 if you fancy coming along, but don't know me, I'll be the short-haired short fella on a black Triumph Tiger 955i. -- d. -- d. |

And for those that don't know me, I'm the big bloke with short hair on a bright yellow blade...... Only kidding, i wish, but a 200m ride before a run could be a tad tiring! Out of interest, are there much filth around? First against the wall, etc. I really must get a 'FOF under my belt too, unfortunately not tomorrow though as I'm off to the West Country for a few days. Had a rather pleasant bimble over to High Wycombe this morning to see my parents argue with each other, follwed by a blast back down the M40 to home (woo, and a side portion of hoo too). Ho hum, bike's back in the shed where I expect it will languish till the end of the month, when I will have to drag it out and polish it in readiness for the Zephyr rally in Reading. -- Dan L dan.yodanet@gmail.com http://thebikeshed.spaces.live.com/ 1996 Kawasaki ZR1100 Zephyr BOTAFOT #140 (KotL 2005/6/7) X-FOT#000 DIAABTCOD #26 BOMB#18 (slow) OMF#11 |

I did a 329/4074/4130/404 run via Pangbourne, Streatley, Wallingford, Henley and Marlow with a quick loop up to the hairpin by Fox's. Used to be my regular evening run, far more pleasant without the sun in my eyes all the way. -- ogden sv650 - surprisingly quick for a girl's bike |

I did turn up at South Mimms a) on the off chance & b) because I needed fuel anyway. Weird sight at South Mimms: a bunch of guys, leathered-up, back- protectors etc, race-rep helmets, bike boots etc.....riding scooters, including one of those 3 wheel Piaggios - very strange to see scooter- bois with full bike kit on. -- d. |

No, it's something we've not done in ages is all. The overall arrangement was that people from all directions converge on the Pen and Parchment in the middle of Stratford, at lunchtime, for pie, pint, and jovial banter. Once fed and watered either heading home of going for a bit of a ride out, depending on how far they've journeyed. |

I really need to get some advanced planning sorted and be at home on a Sunday so we can do a trip to the P&P. It's not a bad ride over from our place and upsetting the locals is always good value. |

I quite liked that twisty fish hill road that's somewhere the other side of stratford, but I can't remember exactly where. It's worth the trip just for a blast up that. |
