Seen today, one absolutely clean H (1970?) 500 2-stroke twin in green
colour scheme. It was so clean it must be the first day out since restoration or something. It sounded very healthy and barely a hint of smoke from the pipes. -- Tim http://www.pitfieldbeershop.co.uk/ |

Had the purple-and-white 1971 version (T500-R, following on from T500 Cobra & T500-II, and before the GT-500 series). Traffic cop: Mr Reid, do you realise you were doing *seventy*-*eight* miles per hour? Me: <thinks> Good job you didn't see me a couple of minutes earlier when I was doing one-oh-five! Me: I found a car sitting right on my tail over Commonwealth Avenue Bridge. As it was just after pub closing time on a Friday night I assumed it was some J Random Hooligan rather than a police car, and accelerated away. Magistrate: 80 MPH? That's _some_ acceleration! Me: <thinks> Better not tell him I was still in second gear! -- Ivan Reid, School of Engineering & Design, _____________ CMS Collaboration, Brunel University.
