Default Real classic bikes?

I wonder if anyone on this group actually owns a bike which would be
recognised as a classic, by the large majority of people who feel that
things like RDs and Superdreams are not and never will be seen as
"classic" machines in the accepted sense of the word?

Perhaps you should define your understanding of the word "classic".

A bike such as the BSA Gold Star, should in my view be seen as a "real"
classic bike, where as something like a Bantam or B31 would most
certainly not!

In terms of Jap bikes I would view an H1 as a proper classic, and
things like Dreams and RD twins as not.

A classic is in the eye of the beholder. Mine's a classic. Some would say
a classic POS, but in my opinion it is a classic.

Perhaps thise definition, if you replace "car" with "motorcycle" in the text
is pretty relevant

I just finished rebuilding a Lucas 'Kx V' for one of my bikes, does that
count as part of a classic?
