Bear in mind it'll need an MOT (on the frame number) when you take it for
the registration inspection...

I have a spare engine from another bike I can drop in to the frame and
hopefully hide the engine number under some tape as iirc they cannot
lift any tape.

Erm, he said "frame number" up there...

If it hasn't been registered, what's the problem with dropping in the
other engine then?

Different model numbers on the parts, frame is M214 (250cc) engine is
M215 (370cc), might try and get the other engine put together from all
the spares I have.

Hmm. TBH I severely doubt that that's bothering the guys inspecting the
assembled bike at the VRO.
