a) what *is* "nice condition" BTW? I always wondered.
b) suppose that an old f*rt took his test on such a bike, would it
restrict the size of bike he could subsequently use?

At a wild guess, somewhere below concours and above an absolute shed.
If I had some piccies of my dad's Seefers, you'd see what I mean...

I don't think you'd be able to take your test on one. The capacity
rules it out for a normal learner test (limit 125cc), and the power is
below that required to do DA if I understand it right.

I thought it was for +21 year olds, not +25.

Right on both accounts.
The bike's 40 years old and far from concours, but in better condition than
most bikes I see half its age and many younger than that. But then its a
working bike used every day regardless of weather conditions and doesn't
ever get polished. It never fails to start and has only let me down once in
the last year when it threw it's chain.
On the second point, I chose to do the DA test on a hire bike (CB500)because
I didn't want the extra aggro of being tested while using arm signals.
Neither did I want to fit indicators just for the test.
Just as well because I found out on the day of the test that the c15 falls
into the category of too many ccs too little bhp.
BTW I don't think being an old f*rt or a young f*rt comes into the equation.
At least I wasn't asked how old a f*rt I was. For the record I'm 40, which I
suppose is a little over halfway on the f*rtometer.

PS My other bike's 750/4 and that doesn't have indicators either.
